Robert and Ellen lived in Western Division of Anderson Co. in 1850 Census. William Steele took the census 29th day of August 1850 -
Robert age 25 SC, had neighbors David Simpson on the left and Mr Fields on the right.
Mr Steele took it again 26th September 1850 and Robert was 23. His
neighbor David Simpson was on the right instead of the left, and Mr Carter was on the left. Everything same except Robert's age 23.

Both times, Isabella McLemon/Leman, 66,in home, born Virginia. The next child of Robert was named Isabell Elizabeth "Jane" Patterson.
