Mr James Herbert Sutherland, 908 Old Bell Road, Iva, died wednesday, Jan 28, 2004 in Iva. Born in Iva on Aug 20, 1947, Mr. Sutherland was a son of the late Amos Sutherland and Tommie Poole Sutherland. He was a sheetrock installer and had served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his sons, Pete Sutherland and Steve Sutherland, both of Laurens: brothers: Michael Sutherland of Anderson, Bernie Sutherland of Taylors and Bobby Sutherland of Anderson; four grandchildren: Tyler Sutherland, Ashton Sutherland, Logan Sutherland and Kaetlin Sutherland. In addition to parents, he was preceeded in death by a brother, Zeke Sutherland.
Funeral services will be held Sunday Feb 1, 2004, at 3pm in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Gary officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
The body is at The McDougald Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, Jan 31, 2002.
The family will be at the home of Bill and Sheila Roach, 602 Regency Circle,
Anderson, and at the home of Iber Neal Sutherland, 814 Betsy St., Iva.
The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
