Sarah Herrin was with the 82nd Chemical Battalion in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where she and Richard McBride met. They were both sent to Iraq, but her company was delayed and she had to stay a few months longer than Richard. They set the wedding date Jan 29, 2005 @ 1:00 pm @ Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Bryson City, NC, and the Pastor was Paul R. Sale. The Reception was also held at the Church.
It snowed and iced over Friday night and the travelers had to stay an extra day due to weather, but the wedding was on schedule on Saturday.
