JOHN C. COCHRAN
John Coleman Cochran of 2125 Aberdeen Road, Charleston Heights, died today at a local hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Shepaherd’s Funeral Home, Hendersonville, N.C.
Mr. Cochran was born Sept. 20, 18898, at Bryson City, N.C., a son of Eli Cochran and Mrs. Jannie Baines Cochran.
A retired ironworker, Mr. Cochran was a member of Bethal Baptist Church in Mt. Holly.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Willis Patterson Cochran; his stepmother, Mrs. Lizzie Cochran of Hendersonville,; four sons, William Coleman Cochran of Lorain, Ohio, Ralph H. Cochran of Altus Air force Base , Okla., Thomas Patterson Cochran of Charleston Heights and Ronald E. (L) Cochran of James Island; three daughters, Mrs. Margie Ramsey of Leesburg, Fla., and Mrs. Doris Jones and Miss Beverly Jean Cochran both of Charleston; three brothers, Ellis Cochran and Arthur Cochran, both of Hickory, N.C., and Frank Cochran of Waynesville, N.C.; a half-sister, Mrs. Grace Hart of Hendersonville, N.C. and 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
