Notes
General:
Marjorie worked faithfully by Lewis's side, holding down the home-front, raising five
children and one g-child, in the home, as well keeping g-kids for a the children, so they
could work She is still caring for the youngest daughter's child, while she works, as he has a mild handicap and also 'blind'. He cannot see,and because of the blindness, Micheal will never be able to live alone. He graduated from the Spartanburg SC "School for deaf & blind", has an excellent memory and loves music. He can play anything he hears. His favorite is 80's music, but he plays all kinds. He has played at the Capital and the 'Governor's Mansion', and many other places. Michael is twin to Melissa and
they were born 6 weeks early, weight: 1 lb 13 oz and 2 lb 3 oz. Melissa has very poor
vision, but in second year of college at Lander, Greenwood, SC Michael spent the first
year of life in 'Self Memorial Hospital', Greenwood. Their baby brother was born and weighed over 10 lbs. When I learned of expecting twins, I was very afraid. They did come 6 weeks early, and had some problems, but not like Gwen's two.

Marriage Notes (Lewis Furqueron SCRUGGS)
Lewis was in the US Navy, stationed in Virginia, and when on "Leave", went home with a member of the Cogle family. He met Marjorie, and eloped with her six weeks later. She was only 16, so lied about her age to the 'Justice of the Peace' .
