Burnitte Babb Sr., 84
FLETCHER -- Burnitte Babb Sr., 84, of Kanuga Road, Hendersonville, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1989, at Fletcher Living Center after a period of declining health.
A native of Madison county, he had lived in Henderson County most of his life. He was a son of the late A.M. and Sarah Miller Babb. He formerly owned and operated Babb's Grocery in Zirconia. He was a member of the Valley Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Capps Babb; a son, Burnitte Babb Jr. of Hendersonville; and a granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with the Rev. Sam Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Hill Baptist Church, P.O.
