The following information was taken from Chapter 9; Ester Caroline [Banther] and her Descendants, from the Banther Family Heritage.
The Cathey's Creek Church records show Caroline became a member there, in 1881. Family members said she was working for John M. and Adda Southern, at Cherryfield Creek, Cathey's Creek Township, at about that time.
The church records show that she transferred her membership in 1882, and family members said that Caroline, had gone to work for James P. and Emma Deaver of Davidson River (now Pisgah Forest).
