Marriage Notes (Harvey Leonard "Benny" SOUTHER)

Mable attended the local school in Transylvania County and graduated from Brevard College. She married "Benny" Souther on July 10, 1937. Benny was the first local person to be hired by the new industry in Transylvania County, Ecusta Paper Corporation. He was drafted during WWII and spent 2 years overseas.
Benny took an early retirement from Ecusta Paper Corp. and then worked with Coco Cola Bottling Co. in Asheville until his death on 21 May 1980.
In 1991, while visiting her daughter, Anne, Mable met a retired International Airline Pilot, Bernard "Ben" Herzberg at church. They were married on August 15, 1992. They reside in both Milton, NY, and in Brevard, NC.
