Thomas B. Osteen, 46
HENDERSONVILLE -- Thomas Blaine Osteen, 46, of Horse Shoe, died Thursday, March 11, 1993, in Pardee Hospital following a long illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, and a son of John B. Osteen of Zirconia and Eula Mae Bayne Osteen, who died in 1985. He was the former vice president of Elcon Corp. in Mountain Home for several years. He held an unlimited electrical contractors license with the state of North Carolina. He attended Maranatha Baptist Church and was a Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors in addition to the father include his wife, Teresa Ward Osteen; one son Stacy Osteen of the home; one daughter, Krystal Osteen of the home; one brother, J.B. Osteen of Hendersonville; three sisters, Carolyn King and Sherby Merchant of Flat Rock and Linda Bryson of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be 2p.m. Sunday in Maranatha Baptist Church. The Rev. Lewis Staton will officiate. Burial will follow in forest Lawn Memorial Park. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post 77 and Hedrick-Roades Veterans of Foreign Wars 5206.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home in Horse Shoe. Memorials may be made to Egiermier project at Maranatha Baptist Church, P.O. Box 514, East Flat Rock, N.C. 28726.
