General:

The natural son of Allene Suttles Pettibone and Raymond Patterson was Ralph Lester Patterson. Following his divorce from Allene, Raymond lived for periods with his mother, Elizabeth Patterson. Raymond retained full custody of his son and Elizabeth helped him raise Ralph, until the time of Raymond's marriage to Betty Raines.
The natural children of Betty Raines and her first husband, Robert Steven Pettibone, were Theresa, Robert Steven, Jr., and Donna Darlene. Raymond raised these children, as his own, after his marriage to Betty in 1982. Betty's first husband, Steve Pettibone, was the natural son of Raymond's first wife, Allene Suttles Pettibone and her first husband, thus making him Raymond's stepson.
