General:

Harry had problems with his eyes since early childhood. He operated a concession stand on W Washington St, in Greenville for years and known as the blind man, and almost was. He lived at 15 Maryland Ave, Welcome Community, Greenville Co, SC and was a member of the Central Baptist Church. Greenville News Tuesday June 27, 1972 - Obit - Surviving are his wife, Mrs Alma Madden Patterson; a step-daughter, Mrs Ruth M. Lambert of Greenville; two step-sons, Tommy Madden and David Madden of Greenville; three sisters, Miss Marion Patterson of Columbia, Mrs Annie Sue Busbee of Greenville, and Mrs Irene Compton of Woodruff; and six stepgrandchildren. Harry was a son of the late William Martin and Emma Burgess Patterson.
