David migrated to Cooper's Creek Area, Union Co, abt 1845, which was surveyed into Fannin Co Jan 21, 1854. Census 1850 indicates age, born late 1788 South Carolina. David & Nancy had 14 children, 10 survived infancy. All children born in North Carolina, except youngest, Nancy, age 2,. born in Georgia.?
Census 1840 Haywood Co, NC, list David born 1790 to 1800, wife same age. -- one male, one female under age 5 --two males two females age 8 to 10 -- two females 10 to 15 -- two males one female 15 to 20 -- two males 20 to 30 -- one male, one female age 40 to 50. All children had their jobs at home, but many were working for other people by age 8. Any people listed here could be hired help or kin-folk.
Census 1850, District 85, Union Co, Georgia list David, age 61(1788), b. South Carolina,
