Anna attended the local schools in Brevard and graduated from Kings College in Charlotte, NC. It was while playing on the women's basketball team at Kings College in 1964, that she met Van, a member of the men's basketball team.
They both graduated in the spring of 1965, and were married in Brevard, NC on Anne's parents 28th wedding anniversary, July 10, 1965. After their marriage they moved back to Van's hometown in Milton, New York. they own and operate Conn Freezer Warehouses in Milton. They are very active in the Milton Methodist Chruch. They are now the proud grandparents of Makenzie Malone Conn.
